Swimmer’s ear is an infection that affects the outer ear canal and can be caused by swimming in unclean water, being in humid and warm places and even having excessive ear wax. People who have eczema or hay fever, wear in-ear headphones, or wear swimming caps are more at risk of developing swimmer’s ear.
Ashish Shah, audiologist from The Hearing Care Partnership, has shared his top five tips to prevent swimmer’s ear during your summer getaway to the pool or beach.Ashish said: “Ear drops can be used to prevent swimmer's ear, including special ones that can dry the inside of your ear to prevent the infection from forming.
