Atletico Madrid take on Dortmund at home in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals. Atletico Madrid have a mixed record against Dortmund in European competitions, but their most recent victory was a 4-0 thrashing. Both teams performed well in the group stages, with Atletico going unbeaten and Dortmund coming out on top despite scoring fewer goals.

Atletico Madrid take on Dortmund at home on Wednesday evening in the quarter finals first leg of the Champions League .

But Atletico come into this having gone unbeaten in the group stages, gaining 14 points conceding only six and scoring as many as 17 - against Lazio, Feyenoord and Celtic.There weren't many goals in that group with Dortmund coming out on top despite only scoring seven goals in six matches.The German side faced PSV and won 3-1 on aggregate and will be a tough side to beat over two legs.

Their defence has been a focal point of their successes this season, especially in the Champions League with multiple clean sheets.
