Scientists have unveiled a new action plan to save Earth from a 'planet-killer' asteroid

impacts have pushed the planet to the brink of destruction in the past and there is a risk another “planet killer” could come our way. Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US believe the technology is here to save the planet from doom.The easiest way to stop a killer asteroid headed towards Earth is to nudge it from its Earth-bound orbit.
