The annual event in the Swiss ski resort town has increasingly become a target of bizarre claims.

, has increasingly become a target of bizarre claims from a growing chorus of commentators who believe the forum involves a group of elites manipulating global events for their own benefit. Experts say what was once a conspiracy theory found in the internet’s underbelly has now hit the mainstream.

Hundreds of public sessions are planned, but the four-day conference is also known for secretive backroom meetings and deal-making by business leaders. This gap between what’s shown to the public and what happens behind closed doors helps make that makes the meeting a flashpoint for misinformation. Theories about influential global leaders are not new, she said, but scrutiny of the forum and its chairman, Klaus Schwab, intensified in 2020 in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.was “The Great Reset.” The initiative envisioned sweeping changes to how societies and economies would work to recover from the pandemic and build a more sustainable future.

In a time of mounting anxiety, Jamieson says the public has become more susceptible to falsehoods, as conspiracy theories emerge as a tool to cut through the chaos. Researchers who monitor extremism say these beliefs are becoming more popular and more concerning.

This is extremely dangerous to our democracy

“Bizarre Claims”. How about the President of Davos openly bragging about how his organization owns world leaders like Putin, Macron and Trudeau? Biden and Boris Johnson both used WEF’s Build Back Better as campaign slogans

By “bizarre claims” do you mean the ones that they post on their website?

😢please be safe always ❤️❤️❤️

a Spectre looms over us all

If anything should have been a Zoom meeting. I mean, if everything were as presented.

The event itself is a ocean of hypocrites - world leaders and businesses owners. They are all rich people because they scammed poor in someway along the lines of acquiring their extreme wealth.

More bizarre than “..Researchers who monitors extremism”? Who is researching the researchers/editors/institutions if their “correct” perspectives are not in fact too “extreme” or against genuine public interests?

Those conspiracy theories are indeed true since most of the popular media companies are ruling out these theories;which is a clear signal these theories are a threat to the secrets these elites keep, because the media would never tell people the real truth about government affairs

the ones who like to call their own country a democracy sits down with all richest people of the world deciding the fate of humanity and above all its secrecy is so high only what they want you to hear they approve of sharing. i call this a cult and a treath on a global scale.
