An armed officer who was en route to the Streatham terror attack has been charged over allegedly crashing into three vehicles and a garden wall

PC Paul Fisher is accused of driving dangerously before a crash in Streatham Common North, in South London, on February 2 2020.

He stole a knife from a hardware shop and randomly stabbed people as he wore a fake suicide vest in Streatham High Street.

Next time a gang of terrorists are murdering innocent people in London, the police should bimble to the attack at 30 mph no more. London gets the policing it deserves

I’m amazed they don’t throw their firearm and driving authorities across the desk and just go back to general duties. See how y’all cope during the next terrorist attack. The IOPC and what passes for an SLT should hang their heads.

Can someone explain to me how this charging decision is in the public interest?

You will get the policing you ask for. This just re-enforces the decision for most officers to abandon voluntary training and do the bare minimum. Why stick your neck out.

Ridiculous. He was on route to a terror attack. NormanBrennan thoughts?

There has to be so much more to this incident. It doesn’t, on the face of it, make sense.

How is this in the public interest? Stupid decision

Louis Thorold: Pram death baby 'victim of a system that failed'A driver, 75, with dementia was cleared of causing death by careless driving by reason of insanity. Such a tragic incident. I really don't know how the elderly can continue to drive if they believe they're fit to do so. It's quite bizarre that I (as a FLT driver) have to refresh my certificate every 3 years to show I am competent.
