ARMED cops opened fire on a car near the Ukrainian Embassy today after it "deliberately rammed" into the ambassador's vehicle twice in London.
A huge police cordon is in place in Holland Park with one man, aged in his 40s, arrested over the drama this morning.Cops opened fire after the Ukrainian Ambassador's car was 'deliberately rammed'Denys Sienik, a spokesman for the Ukrainian embassy, said the car had slammed into the Ambassador's vehicle this morning as it sat parked outside.
When the driver was blocked by cops, he slammed into the Ambassador's car again - forcing police to open fire."No one of the Embassy staff were injured. The police are investigating the suspect’s identity and motive for the attack."Scotland Yard confirmed a police firearm and Taser were deployed but said the incident was not terror-related.
"While this takes place, I would like to pay tribute to the officers involved this morning who responded swiftly to this incident and put themselves in harm's way, as they do every day, to keep the people of London safe.
The area contains a number of embassies - including the Embassy of Greece, Embassy of Uzbekistan and Cameroon High Commission in London.
