AN appeal has been launched to track down the thug who threw a helpless puppy out of a moving car window this week.
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information after the eight-week-old pooch was left traumatised by the ordeal in Long Island, New York.Credit: scpaVeterinary assistant Michael Koemm rescued the stricken pup - who he now plans to adopt and name Elsa The dog - a pit bull mix - was seen being tossed from a dark SUV at around 7am in Riverhead on Tuesday morning amid bitterly cold temperatures.
Veterinary assistant Michael Koemm happened to be driving along Route 25 when he saw the harrowing incident - and pulled over to help."I had a blanket in my car, and I put her in the blanket and she fell asleep."She was rushed to Mr Koemm's vet practice where, despite the impact she suffered, the miracle pup was found to be without any serious physical injuries.
Dr. Jennifer Muscarello, of East End Veterinary Center, said: "She doesn't have any wounds from her fall, she doesn't have any fractures or internal problems from her fall because Michael picked her up so quickly.Mr Koemm now plans to adopt the brave dog - and name her Elsa, after the character from Disney's Frozen.
