Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Ballymena

It has been reported that a man entered a shop in the Broughshane Street area of the town at around 10.20am on Sunday, February 19, and demanded money from a till a number of times.Read more: Man 'shot four times' after being forced into a car by masked men in Coleraine

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information regarding it to contact them. “He demanded money from a till a number of times – but fled from the premises when an alarm was activated. He left empty-handed and thankfully no one was harmed. “Our investigation is now underway and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, or who saw the suspect matching this description, to call police on 101, quoting reference number 600 of 19/02/23.
