Simon Cowell quipped it was his 'favourite opening ever'

Britain's Got Talent semi-finals started with a bang as Ant McPartlin suffered a fall just minutes into the live broadcast.

Simon Cowell quipped it was his "favourite opening ever", but kindly asked Ant if he was okay following his trip. "I'm fine," an embarrassed Ant replied. "Let's get on shall we?" New judge Bruno Tonioli was taken aback by the audition and pressed his gold buzzer to ensure the singer secured his slot in the semi-finals.

The dancer, who in his audition explained that he had his leg amputated after being diagnosed with cancer, performed a stunning contemporary routine to Runnin’ by Naughty Boy ft. Beyoncé & Arrow Benjamin.
