An additional 206 people have died with coronavirus, bringing the UK’s official death toll to 55,230.
Taking the past week as a whole, however, the number of new deaths are up 6 per cent on the previous seven days.The death toll is counted as the overall number of people to have died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

How about reporting a bit of good news for a change, positive test results have fallen by over 40,000 in the last 7 days even with a very slight increase in testing in the same period.

Do you know if the true death toll has increased at all from 1664? Why does the media persist with this inflated 55000 figure, most if whom died from something other than COVID?
