Stray cats and dogs were left clinging to trees as flood levels rose, an animal rights charity in Ukraine has said, as it spearheads efforts to rescue animals in danger of drowning following floods generated by the attack on the Nova Kakhovka dam

UAnimals, headquartered in Kyiv, operates all over Ukraine, focusing it efforts on frontline areas including Kharkiv and Kherson.
