. She plays Becky Le Domas, who is the “evil yet empathetic” matriarch of a very rich family. Yes, it sounds very weird, but colour us intrigued.It looks to be a thrilling role for MacDowell, but she has revealed that getting the part in the first place was a “miracle” because of the constant sexism she faces.

“It would be great if I was just sat here going ‘oh gee I wonder what project I want to work on’. I can tell you that’s not what happens at 61,” she told“When I was in my 30s it was a little bit like that, where I had projects coming to me, now I’m just hoping to find a project and once in a while a miracle happens.
