And that's why they're fat

Marching speed is 4 miles an hour, so at casual speed 30 mins will be perhaps just over a mile; not far at all. I consider 8 miles in the countryside a good walk and I'm not a particularly fit 61.

'.. the average American walked approximately 4,700 steps a day, roughly 1,200 steps less than the average in the UK.' Americans walk 2.2 mi per day. UK walks 2.79 mi per day.

A 30 minute walk is nothing.

I doubt Americans spare a thought

Because Americans are fat and lazy

actually.....................we don't care.

Is 'fathom' even a word in the American lexicon?

Never mind going electric, where will we park?UK roads are already jam-packed and that looks set to get worse as more people snap up EVs. Exactly. Cars need roads, parking spaces, power etc. The only effective solution is public transport and short term vehicle hire Where will we get them MOT’d too? There’s already a shortage of testing stations and not enough man hours to test all the cars on the road today! Many stations and testers giving up due to the red tape and bureaucracy the agency is forcing on them!! Use public transport. It is good for the environment
