Ambulance crews in England to use iPads to assess accident and stroke victims

Hang on what? This is fucking news? I kinda expected this would be standard - the tech is a decade old min. Has the problem not been connectivity and lack of investment - that’s the story isn’t it? ‘After a decade of under investment only now have ambulance crews got acces to..’

That’s great but also literally no need for these to be iPads, a luxury product from a luxury brand, why not just normal android tablets or a phone? I think it’s pretty unlikely you’d see a private company spending like this
