Amazon's £30 fan may be small, but shoppers say it's a 'lifesaver' in the summer

Amazon shoppers are raving about a 'lifesaving' tower fan which keeps 'entire rooms cool' and is 'surprisingly effective' for its size. Those who have already bought the fan insist that it is also the 'quietest fan' they've ever bought, making it easier to sleep through warmer summer nights.

However, one customer gave the Dr Prepare Tower Fan a three-star review because it has 'one major downfall'. They wrote: "I like this fan, reasonable air flow not too noisy on the lowest setting and doesn't take up too much desk real estate. It does have one real annoyance in that it doesn't remember what setting it was on last. Every time I switch on the power to my desk it comes on full blast and I have to turn it off or down.
