Amanda Holden's heartfelt tribute to BGT star after he was found dead at home

This weekend sees a host of Britain's Got Talent hopefuls performing on ITV in an attempt to hit the big time. Contestants from across the country are vying to impress judges Bruno Tonioli , Alesha Dixon , Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell enough to bag a spot at the Royal Variety Performance and net a cool £250,000 in prize money.

BGT shared the news via their Twitter account, saying: "We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of David J. Watson. David was a much-loved part of BGT, bringing fun and heart to the show year after year. We send our condolences to all his friends and family." David, a regular at the BGT auditions since 2013 once said: "I just love being on the show". The retiree from the NHS made it to the second round in 2020 with his 'magic rainbow' act, a performance applauded as his best by the judges.
