Alleged Russian intelligence asset living in London with family under Homes for Ukraine scheme

An alleged Russian intelligence agent is living in the UK and his family used the Government’s Homes for Ukraine scheme to join him, anThe Ukrainian businessman is suspected by the FBI of being a foreign agent for Russia’s Federal Security Service , according to a secret cache of intelligence documents, seen byHe was able to travel to London after fleeing Ukraine at the start of the war, and his family then joined him through the official UK refugee scheme.

More than 124,000 applicants of the Ukraine scheme have arrived in the UK, according to the latest Government figures published last week – but security has been a contentious issue since its inception.that “several” applications under the scheme had been denied over security concerns relating to Russian intelligence since the start of the war.
