Hollie, 24, who works in hospitality, said she was told that her son’s operation was being moved because of the strikes as it was non-urgent. While a new date has not yet been set, she is expecting it to take place in the New Year, and is partly relieved. “I’m partially glad as I didn’t want him being too poorly for his first Christmas, and as a first-time mum it’s always a bit daunting seeing your child go in for an operation.”
“So we’re extremely fortunate in our personal circumstances – plus I don’t have a poorly baby for Christmas, which is lovely.”
Reading a report in the Telegraph, on line; one hospital had to pay over £5000 for an agency Doctor, for one shift!!! Disgraceful!! These agencies are sucking the NHS dry!! Who are these Doctors and nurses using these agencies? Blood suckers themselves!!
