A war between supermarkets and a huge tower near Manchester city centre are the biggest developments mentioned this week across the city region.

Open Air Bounce, based at Umbertons Farm, Salford Road, Bolton has a field full of inflatable bouncy castles, slides, obstacles and assault courses. The lower floors will be an aparthotel, with 87 such studio flats occupying floors one to four.
