A 76-storey skyscraper and a huge 28-bed HMO are two of the most significant plans to be put before councils this week.
The proposal intends to convert the former Finefit premises on Church Street West, Radcliffe, into a huge house of multiple occupation, , with single occupancy. The 516 square foot building is 50 metres from Radcliffe’s Metrolink stop and close to the town centre. Viadux 2a, as it's called, will be built on the former Bauer Millett site off Great Bridgewater Street, near Deansgate. It will have 782 one and two-bedroom apartments, with a smaller 23-storey Viadux 2b tower having 133 affordable flats.
The proposal is to replace the flagged area around the war memorial without interfering with the memorial structure.
