An all-girls junior football team has won a boys’ league and are undefeated with two games remaining in their title-winning season.
SB Frankfort Under-12s were new entrants to the Devon Junior Minor League as they had no other all-girls teams to play in their area. And the Plymouth-based side have now been crowned champions after winning 14 of their 17 games and scoring 75 goals – an average of over four per game.‘This has been four years in the making and I couldn’t be happier.‘The main aim by joining the boys’ league was for the girls to be challenged, so it’s amazing to end up league winners.
