Pakistan’s government says all eight people – including at least six children have now been rescued – after they were trapped for hours in an improvised cable car, dangling a thousand feet above a ravine.

They were on their way to school in a mountainous region north of Islamabad – when a cable snapped in high winds – sparking a challenging day-long rescue effort.
