Alec Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting of a cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
A lawyer for the Hollywood actor has said the charges against him are a "terrible miscarriage of justice," and that Baldwin will fight them. Prosecutors have said that Baldwin's involvement as a producer and as the person who fired the gun weighed in the decision to file charges. Heather Brewer, a spokeswoman for the district attorney's office, said in a statement on Monday that prosecutors are "fully focused on securing justice for Halyna Hutchins" and "the evidence and the facts speak for themselves."
