Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe remains confident that captain Alan Browne will extend his contract at Deepdale. The Lilywhites made an offer to the Ireland international towards the end of last year, but he is yet to sign on the dotted line. Browne, in September of last year, said he would be 'happy' to sign a new deal at Deepdale and he has since surpassed 400 appearances for the club. There was an approach from Serie A side, Salernitana, late in the January transfer window.
