The Airbus saga is a testimony to Europe´s failure. The plane was a way to unite European countries and every EU leaders was selling it as part of their official visits. Now no one is interested to sell it or force it on other Gulf countries, thus it collapsed, and EU to follow.

Time HMG was more active in courting Boeing, which is itself pro-actively expanding its UK footprint and workforce and supporting a now significant UK supply chain plus R&D programmes too, both re civil and military aviation.
