Afghanistan latest country to ban PUBG

India, Pakistan, China and Jordan have also previously banned PUBG, whose mobile version specifically became particularly popular in these countries.over concerns it promoted violence and was too addictive. Later reports emerged that people had been arrested for flouting the ban.- although this move was linked more with the game's mobile publisher Tencent controlling the game, amidst growing tension between China and India.

A rebranded version, Battlegrounds Mobile India, arrived in the summer of 2021. This survived a year before it too was shut down by government order. We want to make Eurogamer better, and that means better for our readers - not for algorithms. You can help! The Taliban is banning PUBG for being too violentOne of Josh's first memories is of playing Quake 2 on the family computer when he was far too young to be doing that, and he's been irreparably game-brained ever since. Since then, his writing has been featured in Vice, Fanbyte, and the Financial Times. He'll play pretty much anything, and has written far too much on everything from visual novels to Assassin's Creed. His most profound loves are for CRPGs, immersive sims, and any game whose ambition outstrips its budget. He thinks you're all far too mean about Deus Ex: Invisible War. 😂 lol
