Adam Sandler is reportedly hard at work on a sequel to his 1996 sports comedy, Happy Gilmore, which earned a total of $41.2 million at the box office worldwide.

'I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, 'McDonald, you're gonna love this,'' McDonald said. 'I said, 'What?' He says, 'How about that,' and he shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2.' 'I don't wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, 'Well, that would be awesome.' So, it's in the works,' McDonald continued. 'Fans demand it, dammit!'

The film also stars Julie Bowen as PGA tour publicist Virginia Venit, Carl Weathers as Chubbs, the golf pro who teaches him the finer points of the game, along with a memorable cameo from The Price Is Right host Bob Barker.
