Accies star Jake Hastie hopes first goal for club can lead to regular starts

Hamilton Accies winger Jake Hastie hopes opening his account for the club on Saturday can be the catalyst for him to become a regular starter.

He said: “It’s good to get that first goal because it just gives you confidence that you can take into the rest of your game. With Falkirk on the cusp of the League One title – which they could wrap up this weekend if they win and Accies fail to beat Cove – consolidating second spot is the main objective for Accies right now.He said: “We need to build momentum now going into the play-offs because it gives you the best chance of getting through them, if you are going there used to winning games.“We’ve been working really hard and we just need to keep it going away to Cove on Saturday.

“We pride ourselves on that and want to play good stuff as well as getting the result, so we were happy to do that.
