Sepa is investigating a major accidental release of one of the most potent types of greenhouse gases at a Perth meat producer.
The watchdog said the Perth incident alone accounted for 87% of the total hydrofluorocarbons emissions from all industrial sectors in Scotland for 2021. The watchdog said its investigation into the release is "currently ongoing" and will "determine whether any enforcement action is required as a result of its findings".The greenhouse gas data for 2021 shows emissions from Sepa-regulated industrial sites fell by 5% between 2020 and 2021.

And?
Non-story. How much difference did it make? Degrees C please.
The increase in GHG is due to the 8 times increase in human population and the animals that comes with people, cats, dogs, food animals etc. breathing. 7 billion people exhaling 2.5 pounds daily for 100 years is a lot of CO2. Go figure, really.
