Prime minister rebuffed as she pleads for last-ditch EU concessions before MPs vote

Theresa May appears set for a second humiliating defeat when she brings her Brexit deal back to parliament next week, after the EU’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, rebuffed her pleas for last-minute concessions.

Fancy that, the EU is sticking to its principles. It must be difficult to understand for a woman without any.

This title is just plain wrong. May has been on the same course for a Brexit defeat for months. Barnier only gave the same answer to the same question, time and time again.

Let's be vonest, it's more the british parliament that set's may for defeat

Well, this really needs to be done with on 13th March then doesn't it. HouseofCommons it's quite clear that you are planning a long ext. of A50, don't think we can't see through you. More fool you if Brexit is not delivered on 29.03.19, we will know it failed by no mistake

it is difficult to negotiate with the so-called state as the EU. The EU has weak management and leadership without a clear vision of the future. (crisis: Ukraine, refugees, banking)

theresa_may Why is she pleading for the EU to give ground when she won't? Waaaah, they won't do what I want... Grow up. You and your party of privilege brought this on us, you wanted to be leader, lead us out to sunny uplands of milk, honey and unicorns.

As many have noted , we asked for the backstop and now reject our own plan..this is political schizophrenia

Mrs May says “...we might never leave Europe at all.” May I take that as a promise rather than a threat?

An actual slap in the face for all Brexiteers might bring them to their senses. Just a thought.

It’s not ‘a slap in the face’. It’s facing up to reality. Should be using this misleading headline?

Good

That’s exactly his plan.

Sh*t. That woman becomes more ugly by the day. It's lying that does it

Second referendum the only way now. Couldn't be clearer.

Good.

Theresa May: 'We may never leave at all' if my Brexit deal is rejectedThe prime minister says 'no one knows' what will happen if MPs vote against her withdrawal agreement for a second time.
