A new normal: what do you want a future shaped by Covid-19 to look like?

We want to hear what you are concerned about, hopeful for, or even looking forward to in a changed future, for a Guardian video series where we’ll discuss how life may change. What are the best things about our society that should be conserved for future generations, and where can we see a need for change?

ImaniAmrani Will our collective trauma result in interpersonal bonds that were not there before? Will those who were fortunate to have never felt truly vulnerable use the experience to develop humility? Will our new understanding of ourselves extend into more empathy for others? I hope so.

A future where people are not allowed to hunt and eat wildlife.

I'd love to see a wider interest in high quality audio drama emerge from this (perhaps out of necessity due to filming restrictions during lockdown and social distancing)---they're simply brilliant to listen to.

This is truly something to ponder on. Collate all best practices and apply it in the future.

End to corporations taking large incomes and profits only shared amongst themselves and shareholders and when things turn sour they instantly demand a bailout, sack staff, go into administration and write off the pensions. Then the same people come back and do it again.

Funny way of putting it. I do not a future shaped by Covid fucking 19. I want it over and to move on.

The Establishment wants a stronger police state. The people want an evd to Austerity, bring back Democratic Socialism. The people will lose because the elite will kill and die for their cause and the people won't. Rinse, repeat.
