A Jade Goody would never get on TV under new rules, says ex-partner

Jade Goody’s former partner believes the Big Brother star would never have made it on to screen if she had been forced to go through the strict new duty of care requirements being placed on reality television producers.

I would hope not

And Davina & co,the red top rags & general media wouldn't get away with the bullying, insults and innuendos they unleashed against this girl at the time Despicable stuff

Which is a good thing. I think he's a decent bloke, but arguing that new regulations stops those from troubled backgrounds seeking aspiration via tv reality shows from going on them is daft to say the least. Jade was at the epi-centre of what we have today with reality trash tv.

Very good point. It’s not fair to discriminate against people who have issues , who may not be so robust in character . They should be free to take part like everyone else. It’s stupid to hold programme makers to account for contestants lives after the show

It was a real shame she died so young, but she is not the legend she is promoted to be , that poor girl was exploited by family and hangers on

I think the point is that Jade Goody shouldn’t have been on TV at all.

Watching that documentary I wanted to weep, how the sophisticated media exploited a naive fame hungry girl , who was just dazzled by it all. Tragic

Well, she REALLY wouldn’t have made it on Big Brother now...
