Water NSW says that without major rain, what’s left in the dam is enough to meet “critical human needs” until just the middle of 2020 for towns that include Dubbo, Warren, Nyngan, Cobar and Wellington.Fleur and Locky have a small business running cultural workshops and ceremonies.

Remind your kid that during prolonged droughts when Aborigines ran out of food they ate the babies and little kids and left the old people to die. Too scrawny to eat I guess. Thank god for trucks that bring in water and food. Or even the local KFC.

This is not about climate change, it's the appalling management of our water systems. LNG and Lithium mining is siphoning gigaliters of water while Almond farms in SA are paying $$$ redirecting water out of the murray.

I hope Australia can solve all of this.

When the water runs out, the climate denialists come running screaming hoax and conspiracy, while the people affected suffer.

Maybe they shouldn't build in arid regions until adequate utilities are in place for now and future residents

More water enters the atmosphere and hence onto the planet every day of the year ...the only reason to run dry is due to poor management and distribution.

Others wiser than I have observed that 9 out of 10 climate emergencies are water-related. Build better water management systems if you want to buffer people and nature against climate change impacts. “If climate change is a shark, water is its teeth.”
