An 82-year-old woman was pronounced dead following a blaze at her home on Carman View at around 3pm on Sunday, January 29.
Police and fire crews rushed to the incident, with firefighters eventually taming the flames at around 10pm.Both officers and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, however, there aren't believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A Police Scotland Ssokesperson said: “Police received a report of a house fire in Carman View, Dumbarton, around 3.10pm on Sunday, January 29.“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Officers are carrying out a joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised five fire appliances and one height vehicle. Crews left the scene shortly after 10pm, once ensuring the area was made safe.
