80s rockstar announces divorce after 10 years of marriage

U2 rockstar Adam Clayton and his wife Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho have announced their divorce U2 bassist Adam Clayton and his wife of 10 years, Mariana Teixeira de Carvalho, have ‘amicably divorced’. The 64-year-old rocker and lawyer Mariana, thought to be 45, have been married since 2013 when they tied the knot in a low-key Dublin ceremony, before jetting off to France for a bigger bash. They will co-parent their six-year-old daughter, Alba, who was born four years into their marriage.

The bassist was also previously engaged to record company executive Susie Smith, who he proposed to on Valentine’s Day 2006 after eight years together. However, a year into their engagement the pair broke up in what friends described at the time as an ‘amicable split’, according to the Irish outlet.
