The coffee mornings are also back, Monday to Friday, from 10am, with free tea and coffee refills, and tasty bakes that can be enjoyed by the wood-burning fire.

You have to be quick to snap up the two big leather armchairs in front of the fire, which is so warm that you really won't want to vacate. It's the perfect spot to veg after a big Sunday roast... be careful you don't nod off.Cross Keys The massive beer garden, packed out on summer days, now lies dormant as pub-goers prefer to lounge on the plush Chesterfield sofas and relax in front of the country pub's open fires and log burners.
