This also has stunning views and a wonderful space to stand still and breathe.The castle on the edge of a housing estate When I first saw Flint Castle I couldn't quite believe how close it was to people's homes and their everyday lives. But here, on the shoreline of the River Dee estuary is the 13th century giant.
Already been to Flint? You could also try Beeston Castle in Cheshire, although you do pay to get in and it is quite a hike up that hill, but on a clear day, you can see the red cranes.
