This is a joke of a story. Really poor reporting based on clicks rather than reality. Whoever is paying the increase should get the grant - it’s that simple!
I don’t understand this article. I have rented property since 2017 always paid my gas and electric directly to my energy company.
Is the issue the landlords are only going to get one £400 and therefore still pass the cost of heating increases down to these renters…. Who won’t see any government support by the nature that they don’t pay bills?
They don’t pay the energy bills directly so whay else to they want the money for i wonder
