Jose Mourinho might be eyeing a reunion with some of his old charges at Liverpool, as rumours swirl about him potentially taking the helm at Anfield.

He elaborated on his point by referencing Real Madrid's managerial choice after Zinedine Zidane's departure, adding: "When Zinedine Zidane left for the second time in 2021, they didn't go looking for a young and up-coming manager, they went for an experienced manager in Carlo Ancelotti. That experience and that know-how can definitely help a club in transition."

Fikayo Tomori The AC Milan centre-back who rose through the ranks at Chelsea during Mourinho's tenure there. With Liverpool expected to bolster their defence come June, Tomori could be an astute acquisition should Mourinho arrive. Tomori, while unlikely to be a first choice over Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, could provide Liverpool with additional depth in defence.
