Woman argues with NEA officers, police called for assistance

The police were called after a woman argued with National Environment Agency enforcement officers when she was warned for not clearing her table at the People's Park Food Centre on April 5.shared a video of three police officers surrounding the woman near exit C of the Chinatown MRT station. Looking on were four people wearing a white top, a bag and a green armband that said"NEA enforcement officer".

The Stomper recounted:"I just happened to be there while shopping in Chinatown. I saw the police park their car, then walk up. The NEA officers were there. People were watching and wondering what the commotion was about." In response to the Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 32 New Market Road at about 2.15pm.

The 46-year-old woman is assisting with investigations into a case of intentional harassment. Police investigations are ongoing.The Stomper said one of the NEA enforcement officers told him they gave the woman a warning, but she refused to comply and a second advisory was given., diners who do not return their used trays and crockery at hawker centres, coffee shops and food courts will be asked by enforcement officers to provide their particulars.
