for paediatric COVID-19 vaccination will no longer have to wait up to five working days to receive a unique SMS booking link to book a vaccination appointment for their children, unless they wish to make bookings on Fridays to Sundays.

They are also encouraged to release any bookings made should they wish to vaccinate their children under this walk-in arrangement. MOE said in its media release that, as of Sunday, close to 160,000 children aged between 5 to 11 have already received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 13,000 children have since received their second dose.

In addition, more than 6,000 children have taken advantage of the “sibling walk-in” arrangement implemented on 10 January, whereby all accompanying siblings of a child with a vaccination appointment on Mondays to Thursdays can walk in for their vaccination without prior appointment. MOE added that 70 per cent of students in its primary schools have registered for vaccination, with 85 per cent of Primary 6 students having done so.
