Scientists in Singapore have developed a new method of isolating blood plasma that will allow for certain cancers and diseases to be detected more quickly and accurately. The method involves the direct isolation of blood plasma from blood in just 30 minutes using a coin-sized chip. This chip, called ExoArc, is able to isolate blood plasma more efficiently and accurately compared to the current method of centrifugation.
The new method has the potential to improve diagnostic tests used to screen for conditions and diseases
