I knew a colleague from Canada who wanted to try Singapore. Worked for one year from 8 am to 8pm lost tons of weight due to stress and finally gave up moved back to Canada.

The big bosses are usually the one that worked the less hours and effort ….

Extra hours, no over-time time, pretty sure no off-in-lieu compensation, etc. If there’s one area the government can help, make working hours fairly compensated. Don’t let poor management or working culture, take advantage of good working people.

Yes, and you know why? Middle managers collect all the shit from higher management and then do the planning to allocate the shit to junior staffs. That's why they are so busy.

Some companies practice using the 13th month pay and dividing it into 12 months and giving it as a performance indicator, which will be deducted if you are on MC. The attendance bonus is a double edge sword. Common yes but it shldnt be a continuous practice.
