Mediacorp continues reign as Singapore’s top audio network with ‘significant jump’ in listenership

In a media release, Mediacorp said that its audio network saw a significant jump of 8.8 per cent in listenership from the last survey to reach 3.7 million people weekly.

“The increase in engagement to nine hours five minutes weekly clearly signals Mediacorp’s ability to attract listeners with the enhanced offerings on its revamped digital service meLISTEN,” Mediacorp said.Mediacorp said that it continues to “cement its leading edge” as the top radio network in Singapore by recording improvements in both its reach and share.

WARNA 942 : After coming in eighth position last year, the top Malay radio station in Singapore saw an increase of 35,000 listeners to reach 505,000 listeners.987 : The station is the top station for tertiary students aged 15 to 24 with 384,000 listeners.

Separately, Mediacorp said that its digital radio network reported a 50 per cent jump in listenership year-on-year, bringing the total to more than 1.5 million listeners. Mediacorp said that the results of the Nielsen Radio Survey “correspond with the uptick in performance for Mediacorp’s digital audio service meLISTEN” which saw a growth of 11 per cent in 2021 in monthly average unique visitors to reach 621,900 listeners.
