All-boys school Maris Stella High School is going co-ed. Come 2027, it will welcome girls into its primary school. The Education Ministry said the move would better serve the needs of local residents in the area.

When the permanent school site at Mount Vernon Road in Bartley undergoes rebuilding, students will be moved to a holding site at Mattar Road -- the former MacPherson Primary School site. During the transition period, the school will also hold morning and afternoon classes, and return to single-session when the permanent campus is ready in 2030. Claudia Lim reports.
