"However, Singapore Airlines staff did not do as they said and instead gave priority transfer to the economy class passengers until the plane was full. All business class passengers missed out and were left stranded in Bangkok. He said it was announced earlier that only business class passengers would be allowed on the flight SQ711, which was the next flight to Singapore.According to the passenger, the manager replied:"Yes, no problem."

In response to media queries, an SIA spokesperson said that flight SQ709 encountered a technical issue at 3.21pm shortly after leaving the gate.
