SINGAPORE - More people will die if those here continue to flout circuit breaker measures intended to counter the coronavirus, said National Centre for Infectious Diseases clinical director Shawn Vasoo on Monday .

As of noon on Sunday, there were more than 2,500 cases of Covid-19 infection here, eight of whom had died. His call was echoed by NCID executive director Leo Yee Sin, who acknowledged that being responsible - which means staying home, not going visiting, and avoiding older family members - might include sacrificing some freedom.First, it manifests itself as an innocuous and mild illness, which is coupled with a high virus secretion at its onset.

Third, as Sars-CoV-2, the virus which causes Covid-19, is a novel pathogen, the whole of Singapore is susceptible to it.

Yes. Exactly! Stay at home!

I think SG should move to mass community testing (all showing even mild respiratory symptoms plus addl. ~5% of asymptomatic population) to identify extent of spread and then contact trace based on that. Right now, unfortunately, we seem to be playing catch up. Covid19 SGUnited

This is news ? 🤔Never knew

Becauses the people who goes out is the resistor.

Just one recommendation, whoever follow circuit breaker properly govt give some rewards. So atleast people follow safe distance and other rules ...

Good control be safe stay at home

Die die lor. Don't care anymore. Wear mask everywhere, say kiasu, say selfish using up stock. Tell you to ban public transport, don't want. Bulk buy to minimize going out, call it hoarding. Rely on delivery, ban the deliverymen from eating lunch. Dunno what this garmen want.

They saying more old people will die lah ..... If oldies still ignorant ..... West side of Singapore i saw good discipline across , not sure about other parts

Only now they require masks wearing on public transport and supermarkets. Most of those unlinked cases probably originated from there but closing any supermarket again will induce panice which this government is very afraid of.

wide community spread will put a heavy burden on healthcare system, including hospital beds, ventilators, ICU rooms, and most importantly doctors and nurses.... the impact will go out of spin once triggerred This is nothing new since we have many countries 'ahead' of us

dbeastCSGO to those that flout the rules and contract corona, you are messing up humanity so if you die....

SAD!

It’s not that serious la. Chilla people
