ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureau Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal on Monday said that corruption is the root cause of all evils.
Addressing a meeting to review monthly performance, he said that the efforts were underway to eradicate corruption from the country, adding that taking the corruption references to logical end is Bureau’s top priority. Justice Javed Iqbal said that the NAB constituted more than 60 committees and these committees will work jointly with government institutions to resolve issues of the public.
The NAB chairman went on to say that with the efforts of the anti-graft agency, the one-widow operation of government institutions has improved, adding that the experience of forming more than 50 character-building organisations in colleges and universities also proved fruitful. All resources were being utilized to return money to the victims of housing societies and other scandals.
