ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ministry of Interior has imposed restriction on entry to Makkah for all individuals holding visit visas during the forthcoming Hajj season, from May 23 to June 21, 2024.
The Saudi ministry in a statement issued on Thursday that visit visas holders do not grant permission to perform Hajj . The ministry has advised visit visa holders without permission for Hajj to avoid travelling to Makkah during this time to avoid penalties according to Saudi regulations. Security and organizational measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of authorized pilgrims during the Hajj rituals.Arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season in Saudi Arabia are now complete,...Earlier, Arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season in Saudi Arabia are now complete, with the General Authority for Roads finishing wide-ranging work on the roads leading to Makkah. The main purpose of these efforts is to make the hajj experience better for all those participating.
The developments include setting up 158 kilometers of roads, filling in cracks and potholes in 403 places, tidying up the edges of roads along 2,361 kilometers, clearing away 1,240 cubic meters of sand from dunes, and cleaning up streams at 421 locations.
