SC bar association wants full court to interpret Article 63-A

After the election of the Punjab Chief Minister, the issue of interpretation of Article 63-A is under discussion, the SCBAP said, adding that its review petition be fixed for hearing.should be constituted on the case related to the election of the Punjab chief minister, it said, adding that the Supreme Court's brief decision on May 17 should be clear now.full court

to hear the case of the Punjab chief minister election, as well as the review petition of the SCBAP about Article 63-A interpretation. Addressing a joint press conference with Atta Tarar, the federal minister said several constitutional issues needed to be resolved and ambiguities should be clear. On Friday, 10 PML-Q members cast their votes against the party head’s directions during Punjab chief minister’s election. Subsequently, the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker rejected these votes and declared Hamza Shahbaz’s victory. However, the other candidate, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, moved the SC and made an appeal to the top court to count those votes.
